BTMA PRESIDENTS MESSAGE

Martin Lane, President, BTMA.

Hello and welcome to the BTMA website, your “one stop shop” for machining and turned parts suppliers.

This site offers you the chance to review some of the best domestic sub-contract machinists and turned parts manufacturers Britain has to offer. With over sixty member companies throughout the country, there will be a supplier that has the technology, ability and skills to give you the machining services that your company needs. Additionally, the organisation benefits from the technical membership offering the latest innovations in machine tool technology, tooling, materials and other support services that are on hand to help.

With the global economic climate still experiencing some turbulence following the recession of 2009, a robust and healthy supply chain has become ever more important and desirable for manufacturing companies. Stability of supplies for key components that you consume coupled with quick response to changes in demand gives you advantages over your global competitors and ultimately proves dividends when looking to the bottom line. I am confident that your supply chain solution for this commodity group can be found on the website.

Following the successful showing at MACH2012, the BTMA will have a sizeable presence at Subcon in June 2013 and we look forward to seeing you there. Subcon will be held at NEC, Birmingham, 4-6 June and you will be sure to have a warm welcome from all BTMA Exhibitors.om all BTMA Exhibitors.

BTMA Members specialise in supplying and manufacturing turned parts, they are experts in that area of manufacture. That speciality, often built up over many years or generations, means that they can help you right from the design stage all the way through to bulk manufacture. They will have experience in material choice, machine tool capability and expert machining knowledge that will both optimise the cost of your components and ensure that you get what you want, when you want it.

I would encourage you to contact the member companies directly to see how they can help your business. A phone call or an e-mail enquiry will quickly show you how competitive the British suppliers in this guide can be. Use their skills and knowledge to your advantage and take the opportunity to deal directly with a manufacturer that you can build a relationship with.

If you are a fellow sub-contract manufacturer, why not find out if the BTMA is for you. You would be welcome to come along to one of our meetings as our guest and meet some of the other company directors and managers that have benefitted from the fellowship, knowledge and networking opportunities that the BTMA can offer you. If you’d like to know more, please contact Chris Gladwin, the Director, I look forward to meeting you in person.

If you buy turned parts, think BTMA!

President, BTMA.
