Precision Machining

Precision machining is a sub discipline of mechanical, electrical and optical engineering concerned with designing machines, fixtures and structures that have extremely low tolerances. These approaches have applications in machine tools, MEMS and NEMS and many other fields. The machined products industry consists of a diversified manufacturing base that produces highly engineered components is a new of different materials including steel, stainless steel, aluminium, brass, titanium and other specialised aerospace materials. The precision industry produces high volumes of components on a order and contracts basis. The components are machining used manual and computerised machines using the latest computer controlled machines also known as CNC, these machines are able to produce extremely complex parts that are used in industries such as automobiles, aircrafts, medical device applications, construction equipment and munitions. Machines that are used in the precision industry include lathes, milling machines and drill presses, they are sharp tools that mechanically cut materials to achieve the precise results that are required in this industry. Machining is required on nearly all metals products and is required the make these high precision parts.
